This LokalWalkers experience takes you inside Egypt’s two most important
museums: the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) — the future crown jewel of
Giza — and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC), home of
the royal mummies.
Led by a certified Egyptologist, this tour offers a rich narrative journey through
pharaonic dynasties, burial rituals, and material culture — exploring what
made Egypt a living legend. You’ll witness colossal statues, royal coffins,
ceremonial tools, and even visit the hall where the great kings and queens of
Egypt now rest.
⚠ Please note: the full exhibition hall of King Tutankhamun — including his
golden mask and complete collection — is not yet open to the public. It will be
unveiled during the Grand Opening of the GEM.
However, your expert guide will share exclusive background, stories, and visuals
related to the Boy King to prepare you for what’s to come.
